A friend introduced her to SUP ten years ago, and from that moment she was hooked. Deborah is a qualified beach lifeguard and SUP instructor, this combined with a keen interest in health and fitness led to the creation of Get up & Get on. Her courses aim for participants to progress quickly with an emphasis on safety and fun. Allow her to introduce you to this exciting new sport, and help you find fitness and wellbeing and discover new places.

Why she loves SUP:

“I’ve always been active, with SUP I get the satisfaction of a good workout, but more importantly the connected experience with the water that I’ve always sought from other water based pursuits. Paddleboarding for me is true escapism, I love the freedom and chase to explore quiet back waters on a beautiful sunny day, I can relax with friends, watch the sunrise and enjoy the peace and tranquility! It relaxes my mind, strengthens my body, quite simply being out in the water, at one with nature is the perfect tonic. Whether its with my children, friends or clients, paddleboarding is my passion! A passion that helped me Get Up & Get on!”

Get Up & Get On Reviews

Deborah took my daughter & I out on our paddle boards this spring for a private lesson to get through the basics and learn to stand up. We had such a fun afternoon & it didn’t feel like learning at all. I’m now committed to two group sessions this summer with friends! I’m hooked!

I was a complete novice and the instructor Deborah totally put me at ease. A few simple instructions, to begin with, gave me the confidence I needed. Before long I was standing up on my board and gliding across the waves in no time( think the wind that day helped)! Deborah’s patience encouragement and teaching technique made it really great fun.

It was such a lovely way to explore the caves and coastlines. I will definitely be back with some friends, can’t recommend it enough as a wonderful way to spend the day on the water.
